We are continually improving our systems to be as environmentally friendly as possible. While many items in the dental field must be replaced with new sterile items we make up for that everywhere we can.

Waste Reduction

Utilizing a comprehensive practice management software we are able to function relatively paperless while charting and recording vital patient information on a secure network rather than in traditional paper file folders.

Non-Toxic Materials

We are a mercury-free office. We only place white resin and porcelain fillings here at Dental Salon. Removal of old metal, aka silver or amalgam fillings is carefully executed with a highly specialized evacuation filtration system installed in our office. This not only protects you but also everyone else through the safe disposal of these potentially hazardous materials. We also use digital x-rays and digital panoramic imaging which eliminates the need for film processing while exposing patients to up to 90% less radiation than a traditional dental x-ray system. The state of the art steam autoclaves that we use help us cut down on the harsh chemicals present in the office

Energy Efficiency

Dental Salon is equipped with occupancy sensor lighting so lights are not on unless there is a need for them. With the incorporation of as many compact florescent bulbs as possible we have reduced our electrical consumption considerably.

Dental Salon has partnered with TerraPass to sponsor clean energy and carbon reduction projects that result in a verified, measurable reduction in carbon emissions.
