Jonathan Wong, Endodontist

My name is Jonathan Wong and I am the Endodontist at Dental Salon. I have the privilege of being a member of a great treatment team, while providing Endodontic care for Dental Salon patients. Most people have fear of the unknown, especially when it comes to their own tooth pain. It is my job to educate you, while also making you feel comfortable with root canal therapy- before, during and after treatment.

After receiving a Masters degree in Genetics, I received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Certificate in Endodontics, all from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I currently hold the following memberships: American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, the American Association of Endodontists, and the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club.

As a member of your treatment team, I believe it is important to keep you involved and informed in all aspects of the dental treatment planning and decision-making. My first priority is taking your questions, fears, goals and expectations into account, so that you are comfortable and at ease from the beginning to the end of the procedure. You can be confident that I use the most current techniques and technologies available. The procedures that I am able to perform include the following:

• Non-surgical root canal therapy
• Surgical root canal therapy (primarily apicoectomy, root defect repair)
• Instrument/post removal
• Revascularization/apexogenesis/apexification
• Management of trauma
• Management of internal/external root resorption
• Crown lengthening
• Posterior single tooth implant

When I'm not seeing patients, the majority of my time is taken up by my family including my son and girlfriend - who both keep me very busy. I look forward to meeting you soon!
